Project manager, research facilitator: Research grant application
Context
PROOF (Prevention Of Organ Failure) Centre of Excellence asked a team of stroke physicians researchers in BC and Alberta to respond to a call for applications on personalized medicine from Genome Canada on its behalf. Neither the host institution (Vancouver Island Health Authority) nor the project leader had applied for a large-scale grant before. The team evolved as the science and the proposal ($9.7 million) underwent numerous iterations.
